Law Enforcement & UN Peacekeeping Training Interpretation (Since 2012)

Since 2012, our company has provided interpretation services for training programs delivered by the International Police Peacekeeping Operations Support (IPPOS), a program supported by the U.S.

Department of State for law enforcement agencies in Nepal preparing for United Nations peacekeeping deployments.

Conducted approximately every six months, for 6 weeks each, these training programs prepared security personnel for deployment as Formed Police Units (FPU) and Individual Police Officers (IPO) in UN peacekeeping missions around the world.

Prior to participating in these assignments, our interpreters successfully completed a thorough vetting process coordinated through the U.S.

Embassy in Nepal. The training programs required interpreters to accurately communicate highly specialized law enforcement and peacekeeping terminology between international trainers and Nepali participants.
Training topics included:
⦁ Public Order Management
⦁ Crime Scene Investigation
⦁ Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)
⦁ VIP Protection and Security Operations
⦁ Firearms Handling and Safety Procedures
⦁ Operational Planning and Field Tactics

Beyond classroom instruction, our interpreters also provided interpretation support during practical field exercises, including firearms training at shooting ranges, where clear and accurate communication was essential for participant safety and training effectiveness.

Over the course of several years, our team consistently supported these programs, gaining extensive experience in police, security, and peacekeeping terminology while facilitating communication between international instructors and Nepali law enforcement personnel.

This assignment demonstrates our expertise in:
⦁ Law enforcement interpretation services in Nepal
⦁ Police and security sector training interpretation
⦁ UN peacekeeping pre-deployment training support
⦁ Technical interpretation for tactical and operational instruction
⦁ Consecutive and field-based interpretation in high-pressure environments
