Legal Interpretation for Depositions, Forensic Interviews, and Defense Base Act (DBA) Claims

Our network of Nepali interpreters provides specialized legal interpretation services for depositions, forensic interviews, witness interviews, and expert interviews conducted under the United States legal system and selected European jurisdictions, including Malta.

In 2025/2026, Our interpreters supported complex legal proceedings involving multinational insurance companies, attorneys, expert witnesses, and Nepali claimants. A significant portion of this work has involved claims filed under the Defense Base Act (DBA), a U.S. federal law that provides workers’ compensation coverage for civilian employees and contractors working on overseas government and defense-related projects.

Many of these proceedings involved Nepali workers who were employed at defense and military support facilities in conflict zones, including Afghanistan and other parts of the Middle East. Claims often related to physical injuries, psychological trauma, workplace accidents, occupational illness, and other matters requiring detailed sworn testimony.

In such cases, interpreters are required to provide accurate and complete interpretation under oath, ensuring that testimony, questions, and responses are conveyed faithfully without omission, addition, or alteration. Because legal decisions and compensation claims may depend on the accuracy of the interpreted record, these assignments demand exceptional attention to detail, neutrality, and linguistic precision.

Our interpreters have experience supporting:
⦁ Defense Base Act (DBA) claim proceedings
⦁ Depositions and sworn testimony
⦁ Forensic interviews
⦁ Witness interviews
⦁ Expert witness interviews
⦁ Insurance and liability-related claims
⦁ Cross-border legal proceedings
⦁ Remote and online legal interpretation

These assignments demonstrate our expertise in legal interpretation for international claims involving Nepali-speaking witnesses and claimants, where confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to professional interpreting standards are essential.
